The Center for Produce Safety (CPS) is focused exclusively on providing the produce industry and related stakeholders with actionable information on enhancing the safety of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Established by public and private partnership at the University of California, Davis, CPS aims to:

  • fund original research
  • offer a searchable database of global produce safety research; and,
  • develop and deliver industry training and outreach programs.

Initial funding for CPS was provided by the California Department of Food and Agriculture, the University of California, the Produce Marketing Association and Taylor Farms.
